European Federated Network of Information eXchange in LogistiX to support the transition to seamless data sharing
This project is the continuation of the Heero project that prepared, carried-out and coordinated eCall pre-deployment pilots at the European level taking into account the approved standards. The overall project objectives were to implement the necessary infrastructure in Europe with the aim of making the Pan-European in-vehicle emergency call service eCall a reality.
Something to Know About Heero2
ICT PSP – ICT for innovative government and public service
01/2013 – 12/2014
The overall objective of HeERO 2 is “To extend HeERO to new Member States or associated countries to demonstrate the scalability of the HeERO solution and to widen the acceptance of eCall.” To support this objective there are three aims:
- to prepare the necessary infrastructure to realize interoperability of “eCall” at European level;
- to boost Member States investment in the PSAP infrastructure and interoperability of the service within the roadmap (end of 2014);
- to encourage a wider adoption across more Member States.
