FENIX

European Federated Network of Information eXchange in LogistiX to support the transition to seamless data sharing 

FENIX is a 3 yearlong Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) project aiming to support the development, validation and deployment of the digital information systems along with the EU transport Core Network.
The 11 pilot sites roll out in 9 European countries and further develop the work conducted under Living Labs in AEOLIX and SELIS projects by structuring the actors and services according to corridors.

OBJECTIVES
  •  establish a federated network of transport and logistics actors across Europe, enabling sharing of information and services needed to optimise TEN-T;
  •  demonstrate the operational feasibility and benefits through the organised national pilots –focus on testing the achieved interoperability capabilities;
  • set up the EU corridor community-building programme and to promote the benefits to the participants in terms of reduced costs and GHG emissions.


ICOOR ROLE AND MEMBERS

Within the FENIX project, ICOOR has the role of managing the Rhine-Alpine Pilot site, coordinating the activities that will be developed in the Genoa and Milan nodes. Furthermore, ICOOR will be one of the leaders of the evaluation team, specifically focusing on the cost-effectiveness analysis.
